Parafest 2018, July 27-29, Llanbedr, Wales
Based in North Wales for its stunning coastline, countryside and scenery, Parafest is unique to the UK and combines a flying event and trade show with a music festival.
Former military airbase Llanbedr Airfield on the edge of Snowdonia National Park is a beautiful location nestled on the coastline between the two very popular tourist destinations of Barmouth and Porthmadog.
Paraglider and hang glider pilots have a winch onsite and aerotows are available for suitably qualified pilots.
The many great free flying sites are within easy driving distance and experienced local pilots will offer site briefs to any visiting pilots.
Paramotors, powered hang gliders, trikes and SSDR can fly out of Llanbedr Airfield and explore everywhere from the coastline to the mountains and valleys of Snowdonia.
With a faultless tarmac runway of over a mile long pilots of any aircraft type are welcome to fly in to Parafest and enjoy a weekend in Wales at a flying event with a difference.
Manufacturers, dealers and schools exhibit at Parafest and trial flights are available for anyone to book direct when on site.
Parafest isn’t just for pilots. Parafest is for everyone.
Professional live acts perform on the main stage in the festival arena all day Friday and Saturday.
A second stage in an aircraft hanger offers an alternative space, acoustic performances and a late night bar.
Four nights camping on the airfield with glamping options, real ales & cocktails, a kids area, sideshows and attractions, dog friendly, too much to list and all right next to the beach. Parafest is a festival you can fly at.!
